Live Free is a youth movement of 11-20 year olds who seek to redefine the culture in Wigan. By sharpening each other to become healthy, thriving followers of Jesus Christ, we are able to grow and serve the purposes of God for our lives.
Our gatherings happen each Friday night and are designed by young people for young people. We engage students through games, live music, talks addressing real life, worship and times out together. Each Friday gathering begins at 7pm and finishes no later than 9pm.
When a young person arrives, he or she will be included in a Tribe. These are small groups of students who regularly meet together. Tribes create a relaxed environment of encouragement and real friendship, and all students are welcomed.
We encourage all of our young people to come just as they are; all are welcome, no matter their background or beliefs. They will experience an authentic welcome with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, have fun and make new friends.
All leaders and volunteers are fully trained and have undergone criminal record checks (DBS). We have a check-in facility on Friday nights to receive your child and we have adult volunteers who look out for them for the entirety of the night. Consent and medical forms may be required for particular events, but you will be notified in advance when necessary. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or would like to talk to one of the team.
