PRAY FOR THE LEADERS OF THE CHURCH

‘Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you.’
 Hebrews 13:7

We are blessed to have a great team of hard-working leaders and staff who work together for the benefit and growth of everyone in the church. So, today, let’s remember our leaders by praying specifically for them. This is one of the best ways you can support them and ensure the church is strengthened through them.

YOUR PRAYERS HELP THEM LEAD WELL

Leadership is a great privilege and responsibility, one the TCC leadership team and staff take seriously. Our desire is to be servant-leaders like Jesus taught us to be. This takes skill, wisdom and the support of a great church family. So, in the words of the Apostle Paul, pray for us because we are confident God will give us the wisdom we need to lead you well, ‘as you help us by your prayers’ (2 Corinthians 1:10).

 YOUR PRAYERS PROTECT THE CHURCH

Jesus once used the analogy of sheep and their shepherd to make the point that if a leader is taken out by the enemy, it is the people who suffer. He said, ’strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter’ (Mark 14:27). So by praying for your leaders, you are protecting the direction, togetherness and cohesion of the whole church family.

YOUR PRAYERS SHAPE A PEACEFUL CHURCH ENVIRONMENT

‘I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone — for all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives’ (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Good leadership creates an environment in which people can live life to the full and reach their potential. Churches thrive when in peace. Pray that every leader of every team across the church will have the skill and wisdom to create that kind of life-giving environment as we grow in 2017.

So, pray for your leaders today. Remember the senior leaders and the team leaders from Youth, Kids Church, TCC Worship, Community, Media, Welcome and all who carry responsibility for taking this great church forward into 2017. Because we believe that

Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favour granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
2 Corinthians 1:11
