Stephen Matthew and Andy Taylor kick off a brand new series of “Joy Story” – a play on words from “Toy Story”.
Stephen reminds us that the Christmas story is a story of joy because of the ultimate gift of Jesus. And Andy looks at the joy of belonging, with a special insight into a couple of Toy Story characters, Andy and Woody.
Today is verdict day. How do we deal with doubt? At the end of every trial, we have to wrestle with doubt. How do you know that God won’t let you down if you don’t take a step of faith?
In this talk, Chevon tackles the issue of doubt. From what the Bible says, and with some great personal stories, she shows us how to deal with doubt and reach a verdict.
Is it something mysterious? Is it a philosophy? Does it represent a particular nation?
Only Jesus can correct any distorted views of it. So what does Jesus, the source of Christianity, think about it?
Listen in as Stephen Matthew unpacks and explores authentic Christianity and its source, Jesus.
Our guest speaker from Africa, Bishop Oscar Muriu, asks the question: Are the things that you are living for worth Christ dying for?
Do we live safe? Or do we live brave?
Often we focus on things such as “my goals” or “my finances”, and we ask God to bless those. But only those who die to self can really live. Bishop Oscar explores what that means, why the purpose of our lives does not revolve around us, and why God wants you to be involved in His plan for your life.
Today, in this “Truth on Trial” series, Dave Belfield bares his heart and shares some confessions of a Senior Leader.
He looks at traits such as:
1. Judging: God hasn’t called us to be judge and jury but to show kindness. Dave shares how God dealt with this in his own life.
2. Brokenness: Dave shares how he had to lay hurt and brokenness at the feet of Jesus in order to find incredible restoration. It’s all because of the grace of Jesus.
3. Just going through the motions: What happens when we get stuck in routine and forget to put Jesus first in everything?
An inspiring, powerful, challenging talk from Dave’s own personal experience.
There are 2 things:
(1) What is true?
(2) What is truth?
Sometimes it’s difficult to live by the truth when we’re experiencing what’s true in our own lives. Jesus is Truth, and the only way to get the true picture is to align our own experience with Jesus.
Ben explains it with some great stories and examples in this memorable talk.
This week Stephen Matthew’s started our new series ‘Truth on Trial’ where he posed the main question ‘What is truth?’
As we know Jesus declares “I am the way and the truth and the life.” Stephen encouraged us this week, as a Church, to walk like Jesus, speak like Jesus and to walk in the truth.
